If you search for easy pork tenderloin recipes, you want two things: a juicy result and clear guidance you can trust.
For whole cuts like tenderloin, the safe internal temperature is 145°F with a 3‑minute rest. Use a digital thermometer at the thickest spot. For ground pork, aim for 160°F.
Pork tenderloin is a long, narrow muscle tucked inside the loin along the spine. It’s naturally tender and lean, so it cooks quickly and pairs well with sweet or savory flavors. That’s why you’ll see it featured in many easy pork tenderloin recipes that move from sear to roast in under 30 minutes.
Pork tenderloin is larger and cooks more slowly. When a recipe calls for tenderloin, stick with the smaller, 1–1.5‑pound piece for the best texture and timing.
Pork supports jobs, income and local businesses across our state. In 2023, Wisconsin’s pork value chain supported an estimated 13,397 jobs, $815 million in personal income, and $1.13 billion in value added, according to an industry economic report. Hog inventory was about 360,000 head in Wisconsin in December 2023. When you buy pork and cook it well at home, you back a supply chain that starts on Wisconsin farms and runs through processors and main street businesses.
Sear the tenderloin for color and flavor, then finish in the oven until it hits that USDA‑recommended 145°F and rest it. Slice across the grain. You’ll get rosy centers, clean slices and real tenderness—proof that easy pork tenderloin recipes can deliver both safety and great eating.

Applesauce-Stuffed Pork Tenderloin
Ingredients
- 2 pork tenderloins 1 pound each
- 1/4 cup apple juice or vermouth
- 2/3 cup chunky applesauce
- 1/4 cup dry roasted peanuts finely chopped
- 1/4 teaspoon fennel seed finely crushed
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
Instructions
- Heat oven to 425 degrees. Using a sharp knife, form a “pocket” in each tenderloin by cutting a lengthwise slit down the center of each almost to, but not through, the bottom of each tenderloin. Place tenderloins in a shallow roasting pan.
- In a small bowl, stir together apple juice, applesauce, peanuts, fennel, salt and pepper. Spoon mixture into pocket in each tenderloin. Secure stuffed pockets with toothpicks. Roast for 20-27 minutes until internal temperature on a thermometer reads 145 degrees, followed by a three-minute rest time before slicing to serve.
