Looking for a pumpkin spice latte alternative that’s easy to make at home and filled with wholesome ingredients? This Maple Pumpkin Latte might be your new favorite! It combines real pumpkin puree, Wisconsin maple syrup and your choice of milk for a smooth and flavorful treat.
Why make this at home instead of picking one up at Starbucks? Let’s talk about what goes into it. A grande Starbucks pumpkin spice latte contains around 390 calories, 50g of sugar and a long list of ingredients. Our homemade version, however, comes in at just 161 calories and 18g of sugar! With just a few natural ingredients, you get all the flavor without the extra calories and artificial additives. That's a win for your health - and your morning coffee checkbook!
One of the best parts of this recipe is that it uses Wisconsin maple syrup as a sugar alternative. Not only does it add the perfect touch of sweetness, but it’s also a natural source of antioxidants and minerals like manganese and zinc, which support your immune system. Unlike processed sugar, maple syrup has a lower glycemic index, meaning this pumpkin spice latte alternative won’t spike your blood sugar as much.
And don’t forget about the milk! Using real dairy milk, whether you choose 2% or whole, adds a creamy texture and a healthy dose of protein, calcium, and Vitamin D to your drink. Dairy milk is packed with essential nutrients that help support bone health and provide sustained energy, making this latte a more satisfying and nutritious option.
So, whether you’re sipping it iced or steaming hot, this Maple Pumpkin Latte is a great way to enjoy fall flavors with a healthier twist. Plus, you're supporting local farmers along the way. Give it a try and taste the difference that real ingredients can make!
