Dinner can be a chaotic time. You’re balancing the kids getting home from school, sports practices, club meetings, housework and everything in between.

For days like these, there’s nothing better than knowing dinner is not only covered – it’s done and ready for you. We teamed up with Modern Day Farm Chick Annaliese Wegner’s Dinner on the Dairy Farm series. She shared this incredible slow cooker ravioli lasagna recipe that is as simple as browning some hamburger, adding all the ingredients to a crock pot and letting time take care of the rest.

Slow cooker meals are a game-changer for farm families, too. You never know what is going to happen on the farm, so being able to have dinner ready when the chores are done gives farm families more time to focus on what is most important: time with family at the dinner table.

Not only is this recipe simple and easy, it also supports local agriculture. Whether you are using ground beef or ground pork, chances are you can source your protein from a farm in your local area by visiting an area butcher or speaking with the farm directly.

This recipe also features mozzarella cheese made from milk right here in Wisconsin. Wondering what brands to shop for in the grocery store? Just check out this resource from our friends at Wisconsin cheese to learn what mozzarella brands are made in Wisconsin.

Dinner is already chaotic; let’s take off the heavy lift. Enjoy this slow cooker ravioli lasagna alongside a fresh garden salad and, most importantly, family at your side.
